World Pharmacists Day – 2023

On September 25, 2023, The Sanjivani Club of School of Pharmacy, Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, in collaboration with the Red Cross Society of Uttarakhand, celebrated World Pharmacists Day under the theme “Pharmacists Strengthening Healthcare Systems: Angdaan Mahadaan.” This event underscored the pivotal role pharmacists play in improving healthcare systems and their dedication to societal well-being, affirming the commitment of both organizations to health promotion.

The day commenced with students engaging in creative expressions through a poster competition and a rangoli competition, both centered on highlighting the significance of pharmacists in healthcare systems. These competitions allowed students to showcase their artistic talents while emphasizing the indispensable role of pharmacists.

The event’s opening was graced by a captivating classical dance performance that set the tone for the day’s festivities. Additionally, a short play, skillfully performed by students, focused on the day’s theme, emphasizing the vital contribution of pharmacists within healthcare settings. It vividly portrayed how pharmacists are integral to the healthcare ecosystem and highlighted their role in ensuring the well-being of individuals and communities.

The highlight of the celebration was an enlightening guest lecture by Mr. Kudan Singh Tolia, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Uttarakhand.
