COLLECTIONS  

 The“Alluriance” presented the glimpses of Assamese culture which were utilised with innovative approach to adorn the garments. The students who assembled the collection were Tusshaa Bhatnagar, Pinki Rana, Shilpa Dhulia, Jyoti Mehra, Mallika Arora and Akash Lingwal. The tribes Bodo, Dimasa, Deri and Rabha have specific elements which were taken to create a mesmerizing effect on collections. Not to forget the renowned Rhino which is a mark of strength gave an emphasis to the ensembles. 

The “Urbane Chic”, where the models dressed in designer attires inspired by the vibrancy of the sundry tribes of Nagaland and their rich heritage was incorporated in the collections including beads, shells and hornbills. Asmita Beri, Anweeta Pandit, Avni Krishali and Shreya Taneja designed the attires for this round. The rich Micro-Modal yarns from Lenzing were knitted in Flat knit fine gauge in innovative forms & silhouettes with a play of jacquard. Experts namely Ms. Laxmi Bhargavi Rao, Business Development/ Marketing Communication, South Asia Lenzing and Mr Shubham Kataria, COO, KatBro Corp Pvt Ltd. were invited to witness this collection especially. 

The  “Pret-a-closet” showcased the culture of Himachal particularly Kullu where new designs of woollen clothes was presented on ramp. The student designers for this round were Deepika Rawat, Nikhil Negi, Shivani Chhabra, Shruti Jain and Saloni Singhal. The fabrics used in this collection are pure wool based handloom fabrics woven by a women-driven co-operative society belonging to the Bodh community in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. 

The “Folkloric Bliss” presented the vibrant colours of Uttarakhand’s valley of flowers and Kumaon’s famous art Aipan and state bird Monal lends vibrant colours to the collection. The students who have put together this round were Shristha Bhandari, Nidhi Verma, Pratishtha Panwar, Amisha Rastogi, Subhashini, Himani Kandari, Priyanka Pundir, Aarushi Aggarwal and Naina Chauhan. Expert from the Industry Mr. Arindam Chakraborty, Head-Product Development, Aurelia was specially invited to witness this collection.
