Unlocking the mysteries of numbers! The Department of Mathematics at Graphic Era Hill University hosted “The Math Gala 2024” in honour of International Women in Mathematics Day. This vibrant annual celebration was a dazzling showcase of the beauty and power of mathematics, bringing together enthusiasts, researchers, and students alike. Amidst the jubilant atmosphere, the event shone a spotlight on the remarkable contributions of female mathematics faculty from GEHU and GEU. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Jasola lauded these trailblazing women for their invaluable contributions to the field. As the cherry on top, esteemed Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Deep delivered an inspiring talk on “Exploring Career Opportunities in Mathematics, AI, Data Science, and GenAI.” Her insightful discourse emphasized the significant roles played by female mathematicians and the vast career prospects awaiting in these dynamic fields. Beyond the enlightening discussions, the event brimmed with engaging activities like speed-cubing, chess battles, face painting, and an open mic session, creating cherished memories and fostering a sense of camaraderie among participants.
