The School of Agriculture, in collaboration with The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), recently organized a People Education and Awareness Program at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. This initiative, aimed at highlighting employment generation schemes and rural development opportunities, featured three main components and engaged 30 enthusiastic participants. The event included essay and debate competitions, providing a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and perspectives. The winners of the essay competition were awarded for their insightful writing, while the debate competition recognized individuals for their articulate and persuasive arguments. Dr. Sanjib Roy, State Director of KVIC, Uttarakhand, served as the chief guest and shared valuable insights on fostering innovation and sustainable development in rural areas. The winners of both competitions were presented with KVIC products, token gifts, and certificates in recognition of their exceptional contributions. This program underscores the importance of educating and empowering individuals to contribute meaningfully to rural development and sustainable practices.
