Session On ‘Agribusiness Management: An Upcoming Field’ | School of Agriculture

Agricultural Society organized a two-hour interactive session for students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture with Dr. V.M. Tripathi, Professor, Graphic Era Hill University on ‘Agribusiness Management: An Upcoming Field’ on May 27th, 2022. The session was planned to orient the students towards the Agribusiness Management (ABM) course to be offered by Graphic Era Hill University. The programme was organized by Dr. Neelam Basera and Dr. Manpreet Singh, Assistant Professor, School of Agriculture. The session began with formal welcoming of the guests with flowers followed by addressal speech by Dr. Y. P Singh, Associate Dean, School of Agriculture. Dr. Tripathi spoke about transforming agriculture into agribusiness. He informed students about the eligibility criteria, course structure, duration, subjects, learning process and placement avenues. He ended his talk with a Sanskrit quote which means Even after having all the riches of the world, you are dependent on the farmer for food”. Thereafter, the students and faculty members interacted with Dr. Tripathi to enquire more about the course, it’s scope, and future prospects. The programme was hosted by Ms. Ishika Singh and Ms. Ishika Thalwal, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture (3rd year) students. The student rapporteurs for the session were Ms. Rikki Kumari, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture (3rd year) and Ms. Juhi Kumari, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture (2nd year).
