Dr. Mandakini Sharma is a highly accomplished individual in the field of Visual Art. She holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at IIT Roorkee. Prior to her doctoral studies, she qualified as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Visual Art through the National Eligibility Test (NET). Dr. Sharma has received recognition for her exceptional contributions to the field of culture and art. She was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), which operates under the Ministry of Culture, acknowledging her outstanding work. Her dedication to teaching and research spans over six years, during which she has gained valuable expertise and knowledge. As an active researcher, Dr. Sharma has published numerous research papers, adding to the body of knowledge in the field of Visual Art. She has also actively participated in several national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops, where she likely shared her insights and findings with fellow researchers and scholars. Her areas of expertise include miniature paintings, folk and tribal art, abstract art, and modern and contemporary art practices. Currently, She is working as a vice president of Kala Anant Society of Dehradun, and contributed in the organization of its latest National Exhibition.

She possesses an in-depth understanding of these diverse art forms and has engaged in writing about them. Dr. Sharma’s involvement in the art community extends beyond her research and teaching roles. She has been invited to serve as a jury member and as an artist for various programs, demonstrating her influence and recognition in the art fraternity.
