Fashion Design Department at GEHU, is well equipped with all state-of-art facilities, fostering a learning environment for aspiring design students to unleash their creativity. The department’s infrastructure consists of a Pattern-making Lab for creating paper patterns, Garment Construction Labs with the latest JUKI sewing machines to transform a range of fabrics into apparel, and Dress-forms to drape & experiment with innovative fabrics and design ideas.
The department also has a Dyeing & Printing Lab with the latest scientific and technical equipment to offer hands-on exposure to students in Textile surface-design techniques; Table looms for students to learn and explore endless possibilities in weaving, by using different colors and varieties of yarns; Spacious Design Studios with Projectors for engaging learning; and Computer Labs with latest Desktops equipped with updated industry required Fashion Design Softwares, crucial for developing their design skills and expressing their innovative design ideas.
The University has a well-stocked Library with Fashion & Textile books for reference, to support classroom learning. Besides the above, Fashion Design students have access to common facilities such as Seminar Halls, Conference Rooms, Open Auditoriums for Presentations, Guest lectures, Workshops, Exhibitions & other extra-curricular activities and events.
