In an unprecedent event, A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Graphic Era Hill University, Uttarakhand and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India for academic collaboration. The MoU aimed towards the education and professional growth of students, academicians and professionals.
No educational institution, no matter how large or influential, can deal with problems on its own. It is not an option, but rather a need in this age of globalization to collaborate with other prestigious academic institutions around the world.
During the ceremony, among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were Prof. (Dr.) R. Gowri, Dean Academics, GEHU; Dr. Arvind Dhar, Registrar, GEHU; Dr. Rahul Raj, Head, School of Commerce, GEHU; CS Devendra V. Deshpande, President, ICSI; Mr. A.K.Srivastava, Joint Secretary (Student services and training) ICSI; CS VijayaLaxmi Sati, Chairperson, Dehradun Chapter of ICSI. The MOU was a result of consistent efforts of CS Ruchitra Kaparwan and CS Sangeeta Bagga, Faculty members, School of Commerce, GEHU. The collaboration is expected to facilitate both the institutions in academic exchanges of faculty members of Graphic Era Hill University and fellow members of ICSI in imparting training and development to students and professionals. The linkage of two academic bodies is a crucial step which should remain at the forefront to motivate both the sides and enhance each other skills. We share the feeling of excitement and optimism when we think of the wonderful possibilities that may come about as the two educational giants enter this partnership. Thus, the signing of this MoU between two institutions will lead to produce new synergies, and academic value for both GEHU and ICSI.
