Dr. Kamal Sharma is a distinguished Professor of Practice at our esteemed University, renowned globally for his exceptional expertise as a sports photojournalist. With an illustrious career spanning over 34 years, Dr. Sharma has garnered international acclaim for his remarkable ability to capture breathtaking portraits and dynamic action shots within the realm of sports. Beyond his extensive experience, Dr. Sharma is revered for his profound knowledge of photography, elevating it to an art form and inspiring aspiring photographers. As a professor of practice, he brings unparalleled insight and real-world experience to our students, enriching their education and preparing them for success in the field of photography and beyond. He has clicked photographs of Politicians, including Prime Ministers, Chief Ministers, Ministers, Film stars and Business Tycoons of India and abroad.

He was the only Asian Photojournalist, who has covered the worst terror attack in the history of mankind, 9/11 in New York, USA, which changed the world forever; held 16 exhibitions on “Say No to Terrorism” across India to educate the youth about the horrifying effects of terrorism. His clicked photographs have been published as cover photos in more than 200 national and international magazines; 2 Kabaddi World Cups at USA and UK; 12 National and International River Rafting championship. His photo exhibitions have been inaugurated and visited by world’s most acclaimed Sports Personalities such as: Tiger Woods, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Saurav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Bishan Singh Bedi, Steve Waugh, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Mahender Singh Dhoni, Ernie Els, Matts Wilander, Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupati, Sania Mirza, Arjuna Ranatunga, Muttiah Muralitharan, Brett Lee, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Sannath Jayasurya, Suresh Raina, Shane Watson, Jonty Rhodes, Chaminda Vaas, Stephen Fleming and many more.
