Dr. Sateesh Kumar Yadav is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, his research has extensively explored thermal energy storage systems using inorganic phase change materials. His doctoral work focused on the thermochemical dissociation of salt hydrates and ice slurry generation, employing advanced numerical modelling techniques to optimize energy storage systems.
Dr. Yadav’s academic journey includes an M.Tech. from IIT Kanpur, where he studied incremental forming processes, and a B.Tech. from UPTU Lucknow, where he developed a Stirling engine from waste materials. His research interests span thermal energy storage, melting and solidification, thermal spray coating, additive manufacturing, and incremental sheet metal forming. He has also contributed significantly to academia and industry as a Project Scientist and Senior Student Research Associate at IIT Kanpur.
A recipient of prestigious fellowships and a finalist for the EU-India Young Scientist Award, Dr. Yadav has published extensively in reputed journals and conferences. His expertise includes advanced simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, and COMSOL, alongside programming skills in Python, C++, and Fortran. He actively engages in academic training and workshops, continuously advancing the field of sustainable energy and manufacturing technologies.
