The Department of Media and Mass Communication at Graphic Era Hill University hosted an exhilarating three-day workshop dedicated to the “Art of Storytelling.” The workshop commenced with a captivating first day under the expert guidance of Mr. Navneet Gairola—an esteemed actor, radio jockey, and educator. Participants were immersed in the nuances and power of storytelling through dynamic theater activities and insightful discussions, further enriched by Dr. Ankita Uniyal, Assistant Professor of MMC, who shared invaluable knowledge on storytelling techniques and elements. Day two was a whirlwind of spine-tingling thrillers and laugh-out-loud comedies, where attendees poured their hearts into captivating stories, blending personal experiences with creative flair. The final day turned into a magical blend of fun and learning, featuring delightful student performances and an exploration of the origins of stories and films by keynote speaker Mr. Sandeep Bhatt. Congratulations to our storytelling competition winners: Aditya Tiwari (BJMC 3rd), Kanishka Uniyal (Doon University), and Monika Patwal (BJMC 5th Sem). This workshop was an unforgettable journey into the heart of storytelling, proving that in the world of mass media, creativity knows no bounds.
