Experienced Pool Of Faculty

The faculty members at School of Law are highly qualified and  alumni of well known universities of the country.  Their efforts are always directed towards the creation of an environment  which is conducive to fostering a genuine spirit of inquiry. Teachers are always  encouraged to make classroom discussions heuristic; in the sense of not imposing but allowing students to arrive at their own conclusions. Things learnt in such manner are rarely, if ever, forgotten.

Modern Classrooms

Set in the ambience of tranquility, the state of the art Classrooms and the Lecture Theatres are equipped with LCD Projectors, Networked Computers, and above all adept teachers to make the classroom experience highly educational. The designs and concept of the rooms have ensured natural sound proofing and clear visibility for all.

Computer Centre

The Computer Centre facility allows the students to access internet and other on-line academic resources. Since it has been proved that the entire world is like a global village and now no part of the world is left unearthed, therefore, in this era of globalization stabilized link plays an important role. Realizing the need for internet, Graphic Era Hill University has placed a VSAT, facilitating uninterrupted connectivity at the constant speed of 20 Mbps round the clock. Optical fiber back bone with structural cabling provides internet connectivity between and to all the computers with faculty, students, NPM/NMP, academic block, administration & faculty residences.

It serves as the perfect focal point of numerous academic events with central air conditioning, ultra modern sound system, video projection facility, hi – tech lighting and provision for special light effects. It also serves as a suitable venue for peer and industry interaction through talk shows, seminars etc

Moot Court

Moot Court Facility enables the students to become familiar with actual legal proceedings at Courts and the Case Sessions held at Moot Court give them an opportunity to face real life situations.

Legal –Aid Centre

The Legal Aid Center provides legal assistance and counseling pertaining to legal matters in rural areas with the help of Faculty members as well as meritorious students.

Personality Development Program:  Under this program special emphasis is laid on training the students  in communication skills, building positive attitude and learning interpersonal skills.

Workshops by legal experts: This is an ongoing feature of the School of Law. Legal experts from judiciary, legal education etc visit the department for delivering specialized lectures on legal matters.

Regular Moot Court Sessions: Moot Court means a mock court at which law students argue imaginary cases for practice. A Moot Court is an extra curricular activity practiced by students at various levels of their undergraduate program. The participants take part in simulated court proceedings, which usually involve drafting briefs (or memorials) and participating in oral arguments.

A Mock Trial was organised on 23rd May, 2017 where a true incident was argued upon by the students of B.B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) VI Semester. Mock Trials have always been an important aspect of advocacy and the participation of the students in showing their advocacy skills on the true incident was indeed commendable.

Internships : The internship in the court starts from IIIrd semester.  Internship under an experienced lawyer is an important component of study of law.  It has the objective of preparing the students for employment. Our students are accepted by senior advocates of High courts and District courts for 4 weeks’ internship in summer and 3 weeks’ internship in winters.
