The Department of English at Graphic Era Hill University is an interdisciplinary department that offers courses and programs in various fields of study related to human behavior, culture, and society. Ever since its inception in 2014, the Department of English at Graphic Era Hill University (GEHU) has been committed to fostering an environment of true learning. Our mission is to transform each student into not only a successful professional but also a responsible global citizen. Over the past few years, our department has experienced significant growth, with student enrollment soaring from an initial 14 to around 200 in just few years. This expansion is a testament to our quality of education and the value we provide to our students.

Our curriculum for undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses is meticulously designed in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission and the Choice Based Credit System .We place a strong emphasis on research orientation, fostering literary creativity, developing analytical skills, and enhancing employability. Our Board of Studies is chaired by distinguished professors from prestigious institutions such as Jawaharlal Nehru University, Indian Institutes of Technology, and various Central Universities. This ensures that our syllabi are contemporary, comprehensive, and challenging.
