Farmer’s Training | School of Agriculture

A five day Farmer’s Training was organised by School of Agriculture, and Green Pahari Foundation, a NGO partner under ATMA programme of a State Agriculture Department. It was attended by more than 50 farmers from Uttarakhand state. The training primarily included mushroom technology and natural farming. Moreover, the farmers were exposed to modern agriculture/horticulture technologies, namely, organic farming, vertical farming, hydroponics, fisheries, beekeeping, etc. The University also conducted an interactive session with the farmers, where the Pro-Chancellor, Dr. J. Kumar and Mr. Bhaskar Pant, Ex-Chief General Manager, NABARD shared their rich field experience with the participants.
