Civic engagement through National Youth Parliament: Rashtrawad 2024

The Legal Aid Committee at Graphic Era Hill University’s School of Law proudly inaugurated the National Youth Parliament, “Rashtrawad,” with a ceremony graced by esteemed Chief Guest, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Jasola. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp, setting a tone of enlightenment and learning. In his inaugural address, Dr. Jasola congratulated the School of Law for organizing such a significant event and motivated all participants, fostering an atmosphere of intellectual vigor and enthusiasm. The first day featured stimulating discussions on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the Bharat vs. India debate, held within the Lok Sabha and AIPPM committees. These sessions fostered critical thinking and witnessed active participation, insightful arguments, and productive deliberations, offering participants a rich learning experience. The second day of the National Youth Parliament 2024 resonated with vibrant debates and profound insights. The Lok Sabha committee witnessed spirited Question and Zero-Hour sessions, while the AIPPM committee sparked compelling dialogues in both public and private forums. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Yatin Bhaskar Duggal, the National Youth Parliament Festival’s 2024 winner and Guest of Honor, and Chief Guest Adv. Mandeep Baisala, a practicing advocate at the Supreme Court of India. Their presence added gravitas and inspiration to the proceedings.
