Buzzing with creativity: GEHU celebrates World Bee Day with Art and Awareness | School of Agriculture

Celebrating World Bee Day with creativity and awareness, Graphic Era Hill University’s School of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC). A highlight of the celebration was a guest lecture titled “Save Bees: Why is it So Important?” delivered by Dr. Jitendra Singh Malik, Assistant Director at KVIC. Dr. Malik’s insightful presentation underscored the indispensable role of bees as vital pollinators and the urgent need to protect them. He provided an in-depth look into the environmental and economic impact of bees, emphasizing the dire consequences of their decline. This immersive experience, was led by Dr. Deepak Kholiya, Ms. Nikita Chauhan and Dr. Neelam Basera. On this occasion, an inspiring drawing and painting competition was also organized. This vibrant event highlighted the beauty and crucial role of bees in our ecosystem. The creative expressions through art and the educational insights shared during the lecture made the celebration both enlightening and engaging.
