Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI)

The Department of BFSI offers an undergraduate program, i.e., Bachelor of Vocation (B.VOC) in Accounting & Finance. This program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation, practical skills, and industry-specific knowledge (Industry Certifications) in Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) Sector. This B.VOC degree program is equivalent to B.Com or BBA with a duration of three years; a pass-out student of this program can also do their MBA/PG.

The faculty members at the department are highly qualified and experienced professionals with extensive industry experience. They are the recipients of national and international awards and have been associated directly and indirectly with the financial regulators of India. The faculty members also have publications with their students in national and international reputable journals and conferences.

The department of BFSI also invites industry experts to deliver guest lectures and conduct workshops/training programs in association with Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), National Stock Exchange (NSE), National Institute of Securities Market (NISM), National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI SSC) & Tally Solutions (TEPL). The students of this department are associated with Top Asset Management Companies (AMC) and participate in NCC / NSS activities for voluntary community service.

The department of BFSI has a strong industry connection and collaborates with leading companies in banking, financial services & insurance (BFSI) sector to provide students with internship and placement opportunities. The department is also assists students in securing internships and full-time job offers with leading BFSI Companies and other consultancy firms too.

The department of BFSI also offers study tours/industry visits/training programs on regular basis for the students based on real-time stock trading, portfolio management, hands-on experience in accounting software (Tally Prime) etc.

The students of this department also holds a plenty of Industry Certifications in BFSI Sector like Digital banking, Merchant banking, Securities operations & risk management, Equity derivative, Recording and reporting, GST (Goods and Services Tax), Commodity derivative, Depository Operations etc, to enhance the students’ employability and professional development.

The department has also organised a 3 days & 4 nights study tour in Mumbai for the students of BFSI where they have learned with SEBI officials and also visited a number of places in the Financial Capital of India for their fun.
