Alumni Interaction Session at GEHU: Insights on Corporate Lending from the Bank of America Leader

An insightful alumni interaction session was held at the School of Commerce, Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun campus, focusing on the evolving landscape of corporate lending. The session featured Ms. Trishala Kathait, an alumna from the Batch of 2017–2020 and current Team Leader at Bank of America, who shared her expertise with the attending students. Ms. Kathait provided an in-depth analysis of market dynamics, highlighting the significant shifts in corporate lending practices driven by technological innovations. She discussed how advancements such as artificial intelligence and blockchain are revolutionizing the banking sector, enhancing efficiency, and minimizing risks. Her presentation emphasized the importance of understanding and adapting to these technological changes to remain competitive in the industry. Risk management strategies were a key focus of the session, with Ms. Kathait outlining effective methods for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in corporate lending. She also shed light on the regulatory landscape, discussing the impact of new regulations on lending practices and how banks can navigate these changes. The session aimed to equip B.Com.
