Dr. Deepak Kholiya is a graduate and postgraduate from D.S.B. Campus, Kumaun University, Nainital (Uttarakhand) India and PhD. from Forest Research Institute (FRI Deemed to be University) Dehradun. Currently working as Associate Professor in the School of Agriculture (Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun Campus) from past 12 years. Has also been awarded with “Research Outstanding Awards” (2017 & 2019) From Graphic Era Hill Univ., Dehradun (Uttarakhand).

Has published more than 35 research papers in various National and International reputed Journals with high NAAS ratings and having good impact factors. He has organized Two National and One International events in university in the capacity of Organizing Joint- Secretary, Organizers and Co- Chair Members. He has also attended various National and International Symposiums and FDP, Workshops and Training programs in various NGOs / Governmental agencies. He has worked as Junior and Senior Research Fellow in the JBIC

(Japanese Bank of International Co-operation) funded and MoEF (Ministry of Environment & Forest) research projects in Forest Research Institute from 2003-2007. He has got a rich experience in teaching of Undergraduate and Post graduate students for more than 15 years and has guided one M.Sc. (Botany) Students and currently Co-Supervisor of Two Ph.D. Scholars.
He has previously worked as a research fellow at the prestigious Forest Research Institute (FRI) and the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) in different projects funded by MoEf, JBIC, Govt. of India. His research and teaching experience of over 20 years involves studies on various aspects of life sciences. Besides being actively involved in research work in the form of external funded research projects, Dr. Kholiya has organized 2 National Conferences (with the support of state / national funding agencies) and over 10 workshops, seminars, training, and outreach programs for stakeholders, students and farmer benefits.

He has also imparted academic consultancies to Farmers, Student-trainees from other institutes including Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) & Experiential Learning Programmes (ELP) trainees. Dr. Kholiya has more than 40 peer-reviewed research publications in journals national and international, edited books indexed conference proceedings, and five published patents to her credit. Dr. Kholiya has delivered numerous oral and poster presentations, keynote addresses, and invited talks at state / national events. He has been supervising Ph.D., Undergraduate, and postgraduate students in their research work primarily on Life sciences related studies. For his work in the field of life sciences, Dr. Kholiya has received appreciation in the form of awards from different State and National level bodies.
