Embarking on a voyage of enlightenment, the 6th-semester students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture undertook a transformative day trip to the Regional Sericultural Research Station in Dehradun. Guided by the knowledgeable Dr. Pallavi Joshi, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Nikita Chauhan at the School of Agriculture, 97 eager minds were whisked away into the fascinating realm of silk production. This immersive experience provided students with firsthand insight into the intricate world of sericulture. From unraveling the mysteries of the silkworm’s life cycle to understanding breeding techniques, preservation methods, and the art of silk production, every moment was a revelation. As they returned, laden with newfound knowledge and inspiration, the students were equipped with invaluable insights to enrich their course curriculum and pave the way for a brighter future in agriculture.
